Built for his mother in 1998/99 as his capstone project for his Mechanical Engineering undergraduate degree. It gave her the ability to move from the family room into the rest of the house on her own, when there was not enough room for a ramp. This allowed her to receive loving care in her own home from Tippett’s sister without needing full time aide.
